François Mosselmans was born in Brussels and still lives there today.
He has always been fascinated by art and especially abstract art but only started to practice more intensely at the age of 33.
He focuses on the creative process, the exploration of colour, texture, and form, while experimenting with different depths, shapes, and techniques. He loves trying different approaches to layering and composition. Looking for different ways to use light to create an interesting visual dynamic.
"When I paint, I find myself projected into my bubble, into my own universe where everything is possible. There are no rules, no one telling me what to do. What matters is that I feel harmony in my work."
He likes the idea that anyone can stand in front of one of his paintings and live their own experiences, and see things that others will not necessarily see.
